The building had been used as the Chulwon-kun office
of the Labor Party by North Korea from the liberation day until the
outbreak of the Korean War. The building was notorious for frequent
torturing and execution of its many political convicts and suspects
at the time. The traces of the history remaining in the building include
bullets, sickles, wires, and human bones.
